Gary Sinise is very angry at former Vermont Governor Howard Dean. Well, not so much angry, as that’s sort of his point. But miffed. Let’s go with miffed. Dean weighed in on the ongoing controversy over the polarizing blockbuster “American Sniper,” telling Bill Maher, “There’s a lot of anger in this country, and the people who go see this movie are people who are very angry. … I bet if you looked at a cross-section of this Tea Party and the people who go to see this movie, there’s a lot of intersection.” So Sinise, a noted veterans advocate, decided to strike back.

“I saw ‘American Sniper’ and I would not consider myself to be an angry person,” Sinise tweeted — with wanton disregard for the 140-character limit. “You certainly have a right to make stupid blanket statements, suggesting that all people who see this film are angry, but how is that helpful, sir?” Come on, guys. This isn’t going to be any fun if you’re going to be so darned polite.
