George Costanza-themed bar opens in Australia

A bar that pays homage to one of ‘90s sitcoms’ most notorious characters just opened in Australia.

George’s Bar, dedicated to “Seinfeld’s”George Costanza, debuted on New Year’s Eve in Fitzroy, Melbourne, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

The establishment features “Seinfeld”pictures,and a foodand cocktail menu centered around jokes from the long-running NBC series, such as Art Vandalay.

Co-owner and operator Dave Barrett chose the theme mainly becausehe is a fan of the show.

“We came up with the name George’s and worked backwards, concept theming it. George Costanza suits a bar in a lot of ways. The humor around George works,” he told the Herald.

There are also autographed photos that are will get added to the bar, and plans to include Melbourne artists who are inspired by the “Seinfeld” character.
