Actor Michael Clarke Duncan, known for his role as John Coffey in “The Green Mile,” died while being hospitalized following July heart attack.
His publicist released a statement from his fiancee, the Rev. Omarosa Manigault, saying the actor, 54, died Monday morning in Los Angeles after two months of treatment following a heart attack.
His role in the 1999 film “The Green Mile” brought him an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor.
The 6-foot-5, 300 pound actor appeared in other films such as “Planet of the Apes,” “Armageddon,” and “Kung Fu Panda.”
