Unlike the character he plays in “Hamilton,”Leslie Odom Jr. is not waiting to make his next move.

The actorwho portrays Aaron Burr in the smash hit musical is stepping into the spotlight with his first solo album, whichcomes out June 10 on S-Curve Records. The self-titled debutwill feature10 songs, a mix ofOdom’s favorite jazz classics done in “soulful new interpretations” and a new arrangement of “The Guilty Ones” fromSpring Awakening.

Odom describes the album as “music that you can feel,” and the hit coming-of-age musical is certainly a sure bet.

Odom, already a Grammy winner along with the rest of the “Hamilton” cast, is also up for a Tony Award — he was co-nominated along with “Hamilton” creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda for Best Lead Actor in a Musical.
