In 1964, designer and photo Joel Katz, then a 21-year-old Yale student, spent seven weeks in Mississippi taking photographs. Almost 50 years later, he just published “And I Said No Lord: A 21–year–old in Mississippi in 1964.” Katz and historian Randall Miller will talk about the book and show photos.

This entry in the Weeknights at the Wagner series invites guest curators to examine the collection from an “outsiders’” point of view. Joanna Ebenstein, founder and creative director of the blog, library and museum Morbid Anatomy, and Evan Michelson, co-owner of Obscura Antiques and co-star of the TV show “Oddities” on the Science Channel, are this week’s outsiders. The pair put together their favorite Wagner specimens, and will be hosting a Q&A.
