Figure skating star Johnny Weir has split from his husband of two years, Victor Voronov, he said on Twitter on Wednesday.
It is with great sadness that I announce that my husband and I are no longer together. My heart hurts, and I wish him well.

No matter what, I am a cheerleader of love and partnership and creation. I am sad yet I am thankful that I was loved and that I could love.

Skating star Weir, who, along with partner Tara Lipinski, made a big splash at the 2014 Winter Olympics with their snappy commentary and even snappier outfits, has been married to Voronov, a Georgetown Law grad, for two years. The Weir-Voronovs were in court on March 4 for a domestic violence incident, during which Weir allegedly bit Voronov, according to Page Six.
Just last month, Weir spoke to Access Hollywood about his relationship and mentioned the stresses of married life.
“A marriage between two guys is different than what I imagine a marriage between a man and a woman [to be],” he said. “I mean, we’re both constantly trying to fight to wear the pants in the relationship.

“It’s constant fireworks,” Johnny added. “It’s very boom, boom, boom.”
