Kim and Kanye get a little racy, and we don’t just mean the motorcycle, in “Bound 2.”
I’m just going to say it. Kanye West’s new video for “Bound 2” is ridiculous. Um, right?
Yeezy just premiered the much-hyped video on “Ellen,” expecting, I guess, everyone in the world to prostrate themselves in the face of yet another work of staggering genius (and also hisfiancé’s bodacious bod, on shadowy display atop a shuddering motorcycle). But mostly, I just felt confused.
Slate might have put it best, calling the video “a slightly more NSFW version of aLisa FrankTrapper Keeper” (LOL at that, btw) because, what?
The video features, among other delights, majestic, cascading waterfalls, Easter-hued dreamscape backgrounds and herds of beautiful, beautiful horses galloping across a candy-colored prairie. Sort of made me think of this.
Also, as mentioned, Kim K was there, being sexy. Because, of course she is. I’m pretty sure that is one of the only two things she’s good at. But not that sexy because, despite the fact that people were going all nutty about the prospect of a naked Kim Kardashian in Ye’s new vid, she never actually shows anything. What she does do is make a lot of pouty faces and straddle Kanye, which I’m pretty sure is the second of the two things she’s good at. It does take a certain type of genius to ride Kanye’s magic stick, though. And by genius, I mean a relentless, primal, all-consuming drive to fame-whore oneself out.
But back to this video. It’s a joke, right? It’s just Kanye using his big, bloated brain to trick all of us into oohing and ahhing over a music video that, from the looks of it, took about 10 bucks and a sh—t ton ofhallucinogenic drugs to make. I think it has to be. Unless, of course, it’s some kind of next-level, Mensa Select art that I couldn’t even begin to wrap this average brain around.
