It wouldn’t be the day after the Super Bowl without a certain, always entertaining corner of the Internet picking apart the annual halftime extravaganza in search of Illuminati clues and symbolism. As the ever-helpful folks at Before It’s News explain, “We know little about the exact meaning of each symbol thrown in our faces by the Illuminati, but we certainly know where to look for, and how to analyze them.” What could possibly go wrong?

Among those symbols on display this year, apparently, were the very important Masonic Checkerboard — though I might argue it was a chessboard, but whatever — and the Masonic Lion that Perry rode into battle. Except it was a tiger. But the tiger was made out of triangles, which is apparently a very important Illuminati coded symbol as well. And apparently the tiger’s eyes were satanic because they were glowing red. There’s just so much going on here, it clearly has to be the work of a secret organization that controls the world, right? Right? Take it away, boys…

The good news, at least, is that this year’s deeply coded symbolism apparently had a positive note, as we’re supposedly headed for happier times — though under the watchful, police state eye of the New World Order, of course.

Also, not for nothing but Perry even addressed the whole Illuminati thing herself during a Rolling Stone interview last year. “If the Illuminati exist, I would like to be invited. I see all that s—, and I’m like, ‘Come on, let me in! I want to be in the club!’ I have no idea what it is. It sounds crazy,” she told the magazine. “Weird people on the Internet that have nothing to do find, like, strange triangles in your hand motions. I guess you’ve kind of made it when they think you’re in the Illuminati. But listen, I believe in aliens, so if people want to believe in Illuminati, great.”

So maybe it was actually full of alien symbolism? I wonder how the conspiracy folks will feel about Perry’s new “XLIX” tattoo in honor of her Super Bowl performance?

?XLIX?
