Rest in peace, KayO Redd.

Rapper Waka Flocka Flame lost his brother, fellow rapper KayO Redd, in an apparent suicide on Dec. 29. Waka’s younger brother was found dead of a gunshot wound, reportedly self-inflicted, according to Hollywood Life.

Waka Flocka Flame publicly mourned his younger brother yesterday. “Ya Big Brother love you Kayo,” he tweeted. He also posted a short photo montage of Kayo Redd.

Their mother and manager, Debra Antney, also confirmed Kayo’s passing, tweeting, “I just lost another son.”

Kayo’s death is especially tragic as he had just released a mixtape, titled “Redd Kisses,” which he continued to promote just hours before his death.

Kayo is the second brother that Waka Flocka Flame has lost. His youngest brother Caodes was struck and killed by a car while riding his bike when Waka Flocka Flame was 13. Waka blamed himself for Caodes’ death, their mother told Vibe.
