Marilyn Manson is pretty much the patron saint of teen angst. He lived up to the title this week when he reached out to Paris Jackson following her suicide attempt.

Paris, the 15-year-old daughter of the late pop singer Michael Jackson, was rushed to the hospital Wednesday following an overdose on pills and an attempt to slit her wrists. Earlier this week, she was reportedly upset that she hadn't been allowed to attend a Marilyn Manson concert.

Manson responded by publicly, announcing his support for the troubled teen. "I hope you feel better. You will be on my guest list any time you want," he said, according to Today.

At last night's concert he announced, "This song is for Paris Jackson," before playing "Disposable Teens."

Paris was rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital Wednesday after an apparent suicide attempt, her mother, Debbie Rowe, told “Entertainment Tonight.”

Paris, the second of Jackson’s three children, had “a lot going on (lately),” Rowe told the celebrity news show.

“We appreciate everyone’s thoughts for Paris at this time and their respect for the family’s privacy,” an attorney for Rowe said in a statement.

Celebrity website TMZ.com, which first reported the suicide attempt, said Paris had been taken from her home in Calabasas, Calif., by ambulance at about 2 a.m., citing unnamed sources.
