Once again, Meryl Streep expanded her thespian repertoire with an unexpected role: Donald Trump.
At Monday'sannual Shakespeare in the Park Public Theater Gala, the three-time Oscar winner donned an orange spray tan, a fat suit and a messy comb-over wig to impersonate Trump. Streep and "The Good Wife" actress Christine Baranski, dressed as Hillary Clinton, performed a duet to the tune of Cole Porter's "Brush Up Your Shakespeare" — because nothing makes for better comedy than politics mashed up with some Elizabethan writing.
Given that Clinton once told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan that she'dwant Streep to play her in a movie, it looks like she could be getting one step closer to another one of her dreams.
