Moss: Marriage was ‘extremely traumatic and awful and horrible’

“Mad Men” star Elisabeth Moss, 31, really, really, really (and we mean “really”) wasn’t a fan of her 8-month marriage to “Portlandia” star Fred Armisen, 47.

“Looking back, I feel like I was really young, and at the time I didn’t think that I was that young,” Moss said of her relationship with Armisen in her new cover story with New York Magazine. The two divorced each other in 2010. “It was extremely traumatic and awful and horrible,” she noted.

Add that to the time she said this about Armisen last year — “One of the greatest things I heard someone say about him is, ‘He’s so great at doing impersonations. But the greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person'” —and, well, we don’t have to ask her what she really thinks about the whole affair.

In a recent interview with Armisen, Metro got a little taste of Moss’s claims about Armisen’s not-so-cheery behavior. When we asked if there would be anycrossover with his new role as bandleader for “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and “Portlandia,” he suddenly turned protective.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” he says, shifting the tone of the conversation into uncomfortable territory. “That’s something for my friend Seth and it’s fun and I don’t want totalk about it because thisis about ‘Portlandia’ and Carrie is on the other line.”

He will allow, however, allowed that he would take off to work on “Portlandia.”

“It will be perfect,” he says, with a little lessattitude. “My focus is‘Portlandia.’ That’s what I do.”
