New book for graphic novel fans

Graphic novels are important. They get people who normally shy away from reading to pick up a book, and they help address complicated issues in a fresh, relatable way. Now, one of the most respected graphic novelists and comic book creators is sharing his secrets.

 

 

Brian Michael Bendis is the comic book creator for many of the great Marvel Comics, such as "The Avengers," "Spider-Man, "X-Men" and "Guardians of the Galaxy." In his new book, "Words For Pictures," he gives fans an inside look at the graphic novel and comic book industry, sharing how he carefully crafts these comic strips.

 

The book also includes interviews with some of the greatest comic book writers of our time such as Mark Bagley ("The Ultimate Spider-Man"), Ed Brubaker ("Captain America") and Sara Pichelli ("Guardians of the Galaxy").
