A lot of news circulated today regarding filmmaker Nora Ephron.
At first, people thought she had died after Liz Smith published, prematurely, a column eulogizing her good friend.
Ephron's family and friends later announced that the director is gravely ill and is not expected to survive through the night. TMZ is reporting that she is probably suffering from cancer.
In her column, Smith wrote, "I won't say "Rest in peace," Nora. I will just ask, "What the hell will we do without you?"" She ended the piece by saying "There was no one like you."
After rumors of her death circulated the Internet, Ephron's pbulisher, Knopf, confirmed she was still alive.
Ephron wrote and directed films such as "Sleepless in Seattle," "You've Got Mail" and "Julie & Julia."
