Veteran rocker Ozzy Osbourne has taken to Facebook to deny rumors that he and his wife Sharon are splitting up — and to apologize for his drug use that provoked his “insane” behavior.
Speculation grew about the couple’s 31-year marriage after they were both pictured in public minus their wedding rings and were further fueled when talent show judge Sharon moved, alone, into a new apartment in Los Angeles.
But Ozzy, 64, denied the pair’s marriage was in trouble.
In a Facebook posting Tuesday, he said: “For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs. I was in a very dark place and was an a—hole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober.
“Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I’m just trying to be a better person.I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period………and my fans.God Bless, Ozzy.”
The couple’s son Jack took to Twitter to blast British tabloids for claiming the Osbournes were splitting, calling the claims “bulls—.”
