Paul McCartney was hospitalized in Tokyo this week after falling ill with a virus. McCartney had already postponed the entire Japan leg of his tour, because his illness made it impossible for him to perform.

Luckily, the 71-year-old pop legend is on the mend, his representative told Page Six. McCartney "will make a complete recovery and has been ordered to take a few days’ rest," his publicist Stuart Bell said.

"Paul has been extremely moved by all the messages and well wishes he has received from fans all over the world," Bell added.

McCartney is scheduled to resume touring in the United States next month. On behalf of those United States, I would like to say that Sir Paul that he should only come tour here if he is very sure that he feels up to it, and until then he should take plenty of Vitamin C, stay in bed, and email his family lots of newspaper articles, which is what my grandfather does when he is not feeling well and always seems to perk him right up.
