Seeing double is not necessarily a bad thing, especially when that person comes in the form of a beautiful doppelganger for "Game of Thrones"’ Emilia Clarke. No, gentlemen, you’re not dreaming.
Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, has a blond-haired, blue-eyed body double called Rosie Mac. The 18-year-old, whose real name is Rosie Chloe MacDonald, is a model and dancer who won the season five role after her agency submitted her Facebook images to series owners HBO.
The British-born beauty, who now lives in Marbella, Spain, is no stranger to fame, having appeared in music videos for the likes of James Blunt and Mika. Mac explains to Metro why this is the best season yet – and no, it’s not just because she’s in it.

How did you land this double role?
To be honest, I heard about the casting but I couldn’t attend it because I had a lot of dancing and modeling jobs on. I uploaded a picture of me when I was blond with a braid in my hair on Facebook and I guess my agency sent it anyway because I got a call telling me I had been selected for the Daenerys double.
What’s life like on the Game of Thrones set?
It’s so hard to describe. You just walk on set some days at four or five o’clock in the morning and it’s a bit crazy. I became very close to some of the actors because I had to copy their every move and facial expressions. But being in a caravan at 4 a.m. with Emilia [Clarke] and getting dressed for four hours … I can tell you, she is quite amazing. One of the directors actually said that Osuna, a small village close to Seville where we shot the series, was one of the best filming experiences he's ever had.
Are you going to work on the next season?
I can’t say [laughs]!
Daenerys usually has a lot of naked scenes. How do you deal with nudity?
I didn’t do any of the nude scenes because I was 17 at the time of the shooting. I did everything else, but I can’t get into details though. I wish I could, but it’s confidential!
Emilia Clarke has been voted the sexiest woman in the world, do you think she deserves it?
It’s completely deserved. She is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. I’m her number one fan! When I first saw her, I was trying to act cool but I was like “Oh. My. God”.
How do you work out?
I live literally right next to the beach, so every morning I go for a swim in the Mediterranean Sea at 7 a.m. for an hour. I know, I’m very lucky! I dance every day: Zumba, street dance and ballet.
Do you pay attention to your diet?
I eat a lot! I do love food because my dad is a chef, so I like all kinds of things. I love Mediterranean – Spanish food – it’s my favorite. But I do eat the occasional fish and chips. I generally eat healthily and I try not to put rubbish in my mouth. But I don’t check on calories and I have a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream if I’m on a "Game of Thrones"marathon! In the morning, I have bread with olive oil and squashed tomatoes – it’s a traditional Spanish breakfast. During the day, I’d have salad, salmon - I eat a lot of fish - and I snack on fruits all day long.
Would you like to have a real role in the show?
I hope so; fingers crossed.
Do you have other artistic projects coming up?
I was the main role in Mika’s “Boom Boom Boom” video, and one of the main dancers in the James Blunt video for “When I Find Love Again”. But I just got into singing myself and will be releasing my first single called “Done” on iTunes in May. Fingers crossed for that too!
