The Jets’ Wildcat quarterback has yet to find the end zone this year but that doesn’t mean he won’t score. Metro New York confirms that Tim Tebow and actress Camilla Belle are in fact in the same backfield with each other.
Tebow, who has completed two of his three passes this season for the Jets, apparently completed one even before the NFL season. Sources tell Metro New York that Belle and Tebow “have been dating for six months” after they met at the 2012 MET Costume Institute Gala. Tebow and Belle were photographed next to each other at the event even though they hadn’t yet at that point officially met.
A source close to the couple said that a member of Tebow’s team approached Belle at the event to usher her over to the quarterback. The couple were first publicly linked together this weekend on a date at a bowling alley in Jacksonville, Fla.
“It is 100 percent true,” said Jonathan Jaxson, a Hollywood publicist and someone close to friends of the couple. “There’s no doubt about it and now there’s no hiding it. They are a couple seemingly in love and very happy together.”
The Jets had a bye week last week which allowed Tebow to fly to Jacksonville and spend time with Belle. They enjoyed one another’s company at an upscale beach spot the night before their excursion, a date arranged by Tebow, with Camilla tweeting a photo of the moonlight over the ocean waters.
The bowling alley date created a Twitter frenzy, including a photo of the power couple popping up on Jaxson’s Twitter account. The Instagram photo posted by Jaxson was also “liked” by Tebow’s account last Friday, signifying his acceptance of this going public.
“It came out because it was Jacksonville and Tebow felt comfortable there,” Jaxson said. “They’re a couple. I mean, they shared kisses and what kind of people kiss in public like that?”
