"Goosebumps" mastermind R.L. Stine sure knows how to take something ordinary and turn it into something seriously creepy. After all, this is the guy behind books like "It Came From Beneath The Sink!" and "Revenge Of The Lawn Gnomes." (Thanks Buzzfeed, for this incredible round-up.)
Stine gifted fans with a new scary story, but instead of releasing it via paperback, he got with the times and tweeted it out. "I'm going to write a story live on Twitter now. The story is called 'What's In My Sandwhich?'" the author tweeted October 28 around 8 p.m. What followed was a series of tweets that is enough to make you stay away from egg salad sandwhiches for a while.
One tweet: "...I was about to bite down on it when I noticed something moving in the egg salad. Was I imagining it? No..." Read the rest of the story here on Storify. It really is pretty creepy.
