Red-hot bargains for Black Friday

Wrentham Village Premium Outlets Midnight Madness begins at the first stroke of Friday. The massive outlet center, 30 minutes’ drive south from Boston, has a lot of stores that feature extra deals and discounts. New shops this year include 7 For All Mankind, American Eagle Outfitters, David Yurman, Ed Hardy, Joe’s Jeans and Vera Bradley. This annual three-day shopping event stretches through the weekend with more bargains than we could even fit here. For more info, visit the website listed at right.

The area’s newest mall, Legacy Place in Dedham, also starts early on Black Friday, with some stores opening at 6 a.m. Legacy houses The Gap, Gap Kids, Levi’s, H&M, White House Black Market, Love Culture, OOP and lots more. Shop before noon for up to 40 percent off total purchases at The Gap and Banana Republic — after noon, it drops to 25 percent. Orvis has 25 percent off men’s watches.

At the other end of one-stop shopping is the super snazzy Louis, now located on Fan Pier. One doesn’t shop at Louis for deals, of course. But you might get some extra gift ideas at Louis’ Exposure, which is a new weekly changing shopping showcase taking place every weekend through December. It’s a trunk show-style event expanding and adding diversity to the already intoxicating Louis shopping experience. This weekend there’s Night Byrd, Buttercup Bake Shop and Seam Collection (children’s clothing).

Back in the Back Bay, Newbury Street deals include up to 60 percent off at Betsey Johnson. EMERGE and G2O have a one-day sale giving 25 percent off high-performance products and makeup, including Trish McEvoy, Suki, TRUE, Moroccan Oil, Kerastase, Prive, OPI and more. Spend $75 at Fresh — not difficult, everything smells so gorgeous — and receive a free Brown Sugar Body Cream. Splash $125 or more and you get a Brown Sugar Body Cream and a Soy Face Cleanser. Get gifts for furry family members at Audrey’s pet store on Newbury. On Black Friday, the store opens early at 8 a.m. to offer 10 percent off most goods until 11 a.m. (Exceptions include staples like dog and cat food.) Audrey’s just added a seasonal kiosk in the Prudential Mall, which debuts on Black Friday.

The Tannery — both Back Bay and Harvard Square — extends its Black Friday discounts through Sunday, offering 20 percent off clothing, denim, accessories and outerwear (except Moncler and Canada Goose); select footwear sells at 10 percent off.
