Rejoice! Judy Blume to release new novel in 2015

Entertainment Weekly reports that beloved young adult author Judy Blume will be releasing a new novel in June 2015, and this time it’s geared toward adults. Based loosely on the true events of a series of plane crashes that occurred between 1951 and 1952, the novel will be an intergenerational family drama.

Blume was a teenager at the time of the plane crashes, which all occured in her homestate of New Jersey. The book will follow various loved ones whose lives changed drastically after the crashes.

While Blume hasn’t released a book since her 1998 book “Summer Sisters,” she hasn’t been entirely missing from the entertainment scene. Her son, Lawrence Blume, directed a film version of her book, “Tiger Eyes,” which came out last year.
