Rihanna chats about her weave in Vogue

Rihanna Vogue Rihanna is all about her weave and cheap jewelry in this month’s Vogue. And we love her for it.

God bless Rihanna for chatting about her weave and love of cheap jewelry in the pages of the high-fashion bible Vogue.

“My jewelry’s all fake—from Claire’s. Or I get it from my mom’s boutique in Barbados. Her shop’s called FAB-U-LUS,” she tells the mag in this month’s cover story (it’s her third time gracing the cover). Anna Wintour probably thinks Claire’s is a cake shop on the Lower East Side.

But it’s Rihanna being frank about her weave that made us fall deeply, deeply in love (not everyone you interview admits to sporting fake hair — and most celebrities do).

“It’s not my hair, but the girl who donated it, she’s the bomb,” Rihanna said about her hair style, which, at the time, was half short, half long. She even pulled her hair back to show the reporter the inner-workings of her style. “Black girls never let anyone see this,” she said. “I have two main hair people I work with. They’re always with me. I’m like, ‘I’m bored! I wanna change my hair!’ That’s the good thing about a weave. You can do whatever with it.”
