Whereas stars at the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes have always erred on the side of tame when walking the red carpet, The Grammys have always been known as the one awards show where you’re guaranteed to see some rock ’n’ roll flair. And last night was no exception with Lady Gaga leading the pack by arriving in an egg-like/placenta device, carried by several near-nude handlers. Other notable red carpet fireworks came courtesy of Nicki Minaj attempting to look like Bamm-Bamm, a newly slimmed-down Jennifer Hudson in a navy blue Versace frock, Selena Gomez looking much-more-adult than her 18 years in J. Mendel, while arriving separately from alleged-beau Justin Bieber, who looked absolutely adorable in a white tux.
Other striking outfits include Florence Welch (of Florence and the Machine) in Givenchy, Drake looking dapper in a black tux, Katy Perry donning Armani-designed wings, and an uber-sexy Rihanna in a Jean Paul Gaultier dress that resembled a sheer artificial Christmas tree.
