The Word: Carrie Bradshaw (aka Sarah Jessica Parker) launches shoe line

Watch out Ivanka Trump, Rachel Bilson, Halle Berry, Fergie, Jessica Simpson, Santana and the seemingly endless list of celebrities who have a shoe line — Sarah Jessica Parker is stepping into the business.

The actress, who famously portrayed the shoe-obsessed Carrie Bradsaw in “Sex and the City,” is launching her own line of footwear, trenches and purses called SJP. The line will be available next year at Nordstrom.

According to Vogue, she is teaming up with George Malkemus, the longtime CEO at Manolo Blahnik for the line, because, basically, she is going to milk the character of Carrie Bradshaw until there isn’t a drop left.

As for the SJP line, “It’s sort of soup to nuts,” she tells the magazine. “You put on a shoe and you put on a coat and you wear a bag and, on the outside, when you’re walking down the street, they really can tell the same story about yourself.”

And that story is: You have a lot of money (or at least a high credit line) as the shoes will range from $200 to $300, and bags will likely sell for around $700.
