Actor Michael Jace, best known for his role as police officer Julien Lowe on "The Shield," was charged with homicide on Tuesday after allegedly shooting his wife to death.
Jace called 911 himself around 8:30 PM Monday, LAPD sources told TMZ. "I shot my wife," he reportedly told the operator. When police arrived they found that his wife April Jace had been shot several times in the torso. The couple's two children, both under 10, reportedly witnessed the shooting. Police first detained Michael Jace at his home before taking him to the station. The two children were initially taken to the station as well before child services arranged for them to stay with a relative.
48-year-old Michael Jace is best known for his role on "The Shield," but has also had numerous guest star roles, most recently on "Southland" and "Nikita."
