The first official "Snow White and the Huntsman" trailer debuted online today courtesy of Apple. The movie is one of two "Snow White" film currently in production, so how can we tell it apart? Here's a hint: This is the one that wants to be "Lord of the Rings."
The movie flaunts an impressive cast, with
"Twilight" star Kristen Stewart, "Thor" actor Chris Hemsworth and
"Monster" Oscar winner Charlize Theron. While the movie is rooted in the original Snow White fairy tale, "Snow White and the Huntsman" is not without a few adjustments. (Don't worry, it still doesn't have any former governors of Utah in it.)
The film follows Snow White
as she learns the art of war from the Huntsman, who has been hired by Theron's evil Queen to kill
her. This Snow White, unlike the Disney princess, grows up to be a fierce warrior -- one who can hold her own.
Initially reluctant to join the Snow White franchise, Stewart now tells MTV, "Now I've got stars in my eyes, I'm
literally over the moon about what I'm doing right now. I can't imagine
that I would say [no]. Yes, I would love to."
Looks like Snow White and the Huntsman is going to be one dark fairytale.
