Apathy and Celph Titled are back at it again with a mix of metaphors so tongue-twisting it’ll leave you back-tracking whatever device you use for listening, as you try to decipher what was just said. With licks laid over DJ Premier’s boom-bap style beats, you get a sound similar to the DemiGodz, the group they roll as together, but the track itself is actually from Apathy’s latest solo album, the hilariously named “Honkey Kong.” If you want hard-hitting lyrics with vinyl cuts to nod along to, Apathy delivers it with this track. And yes, that is a little bit of “The Humpty Dance” you hear there, giving this track its title!
