Sony buys rights to Steve Jobs movie

We can’t say we were really surprised when just days after Steve Jobs’ death, talks about a movie start surfacing.

According to Deadline, Sony Pictures made a $1 million against $3 million to make ‘Steve Jobs.’

The movie will be based on Jobs’ biography written by former CNN chairman and Time Magazine managing editor Walter Isaacson.

Jobs died less than a week ago after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Isaacson’s book was supposed to be released on November 21, but due to Jobs’ death the release date was moved up to October 24.

According to Deadline the biography is based on 40 interviews with jobs as well as more than 100 interviews with friends, family members and colleagues.

At the time of Jobs’ death last week, the only movie chronicling his life and rise to fame was ‘Pirates of Silicon Valley,’ which was based on the book “Fire in the Valley: The Making of the Personal Computer” by Paul Freiberger and Michael Swaine.

Again, it really comes to no surprise that a movie based on the tech titan is already in the works.

The biggest question remains, though, who should play Jobs in the film?
