MBTA: Green Line to B.U. East
An unusual double feature: First up is “Trouble in Tahiti,” a bleak one-act opera by Leonard Bernstein depicting a miserable married couple in socially constricted 1950s suburbia. But if it depresses you, don’t worry — the second half is “Bon Appetit!”, a bizarrely humorous opera-tization of a Julia Child episode. The moral: Forget love, eat chocolate!
