Lindsay Lohan is speaking out for the first time since heading to jail and rehab, insisting to Vanity Fair that she doesn’t have a problem with prescription medication. “I’ve never abused prescription drugs. I have no desire to. That’s not who I am,” she tells the magazine. “I’ve admitted to the things that I’ve done — to, you know, dabbling in certain things and trying things because I was young and curious.” She also insists the alcohol-monitoring anklet she was forced to wear was unnecessary. “If I were the alcoholic everyone says I am, then putting a bracelet on would have ended me up in detox, in the emergency room, because I would have had to come down from all the things that people say I’m taking,” she says. “So that says something, because I was fine.”
Paris Hilton’s arraignment for her recent arrest for cocaine possession has been set for Oct. 27, according to Radar Online. While some sources speculate it will be tough to make a case against Hilton, others tell the Web site that Las Vegas District Attorney David Roger isn’t planning on going easy on her. “Roger won’t tolerate celebrities coming to Las Vegas and thinking they can get away with illegal behavior,” the source says. “It’s going to be extremely difficult for Paris to get out of these charges.”
Amy Winehouse is reportedly reaching out to fellow troubled rocker Pete Doherty by offering him a spare room in her London flat once it’s done being refurbished, according to the Sun. “Amy has offered Pete a place to stay while he’s in London working on the Libertines comeback,” a source says. “She thinks a lot of him and they’ve been through a lot together so she wants to help him out. But pals are worried because they are bad influences on each other.”
Michael Jackson’s two oldest children have started going to school, and they’re reportedly having trouble making friends because of their intimidating security detail, according to PopEater. Prince Michael, 13, and Paris, 12, have started attending a private school north of Los Angeles. “The bodyguard situation really is a bit intimidating to other kids. And that makes them hesitant to approach Prince and Paris,” a source says.
Megan Fox admits that her first brush with fame — with Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen — was a little confusing. “The first time I had ever been around someone really famous was them. We were kids, I was about 15 and so were they,” she says, according to Hollyscoop. “I saw how awkward socially they were with large groups of people because they had been famous their whole lives and looked at their whole lives and I didn’t understand why anyone would be like that. I had no understanding about why you would shut down and be afraid and have phobias, but as it happens to you you sort of develop them and become crazy.”
