Denise takes precaution

After ex-husband Charlie Sheen’s angry tirade against her on Twitter, Denise Richards has reportedly upped the security at her home, according to Popeater. “She wants [daughters] Sam and Lola to have normal lives, but after the recent threats and verbal attacks, she has increased her security,” a source says. “When you are dealing with a mad man, it’s better to be safe than sorry.” Sheen’s over-the-top behavior on Twitter reportedly has Richards worried. “Denise has learned how to deal with the name-calling, but once you start tweeting pictures of yourself with knives and saying you wished someone would die it’s a totally different game,” the source says. “Denise is no longer angry — she’s scared.”

Aniston to direct

Jennifer Aniston is stepping behind the camera to direct part of “Project Five,” an anthology of short films for Lifetime TV, according to Deadline Hollywood. Demi Moore and Alicia Keys are also taking the reigns for sections of the project, which addresses how breast cancer affects people’s lives.

Farrell says goodbye

During the final years of her life, Elizabeth Taylor struck up a close friendship with actor Colin Farrell — so close that, at her request, Farrell recited a poem at her funeral last week, according to Access Hollywood. “Elizabeth chose it,” says Farrell of the poem. “It was a tricky poem as well. Even in passing she had me under the thumb, sweating bricks.”
