Though a self-proclaimed “vegan activist,” Natalie Portman admits she’s strayed from her diet’s strict rules while pregnant. “I actually went back to being vegetarian when I became pregnant, just because I felt like I wanted that stuff. I was listening to my body to have eggs and dairy and that sort of stuff,” Portman says in an interview with Atlanta radio station Q100. “I actually wanted eggs at the beginning, and then they grossed me out after a while. I know there are people who do stay vegan, but I think you have to just be careful, watch your iron levels and your B12 levels and supplement those if there are things you might be low in, in your diet.”

Demi Lovato: It’s a constant struggle

While it’s been months since Demi Lovato checked out of rehab after treatment for “emotional and physical issues,” the Disney star is speaking out now — and addressing speculation she has been battling an eating disorder. “Yes, there have been times when I definitely have been tempted to get rid of my dinner. But I will deal with it for the rest of my life because it’s a lifelong disease,” Lovato writes in Seventeen magazine. “I don’t think there’s going to be a day when I don’t think about food or my body, but I’m living with it. I wish I could tell young girls to find their safe place and stay with it.”
