Arquette: Doing the best he can

While he admits a reconciliation isn’t likely with estranged wife Courteney Cox, David Arquette doesn’t want to badmouth the former “Friends” star. “She’s my best friend and she’s the mother of my child. I love her with all my heart,” he tells Hollyscoop. “We’ve shared so many amazing times so I don’t want to do anything at this period in time that works off resentment or anger and sort of ruin all of the amazing times we’ve shared, despite whatever happens to it.” But Arquette admits the split has been hardest on the couple’s 5-year-old daughter, Coco. “This sort of thing is really difficult with kids, especially with it being in the media,” he says.

Berry won’t be on Broadway

Halle Berry is bowing out of her Broadway debut, “The Mountaintop,” which was set to open in September, according to the New York Times. Producers of the show say Berry will “not be appearing in the role due to child-custody issues.” Berry has been engaged in a bitter custody dispute with ex-partner Gabriel Aubry over their 3-year-old daughter, Nahla. The play, which stars Samuel L. Jackson as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the night before his assassination, will open as planned with a new actress in Berry’s place.

Mueller back on the crack?

While ex-husband Charlie Sheen tours the country and argues with his former bosses, Brooke Mueller has checked herself back into rehab after an eventful week, according to TMZ. Mueller reportedly refused to submit to a drug test Friday required to maintain custody of her children with Sheen, 2-year-old twins Max and Bob. Her stint in rehab is said to be a precautionary measure in case Sheen’s lawyers use her refusal to take a test against her.
