Taryn Manning talks rocky road to sobriety

Another “Orange is the New Black” cast member is leading a life reminiscent of their onscreen role. Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett is a character driven by the demons of her past. The same thing is true of the actress who plays her, Taryn Manning.

TMZ caught up with the actress and she admitted that she is struggling to maintain her sobriety, especially since her schedule prohibits her from going to a rehab facility. Instead, Manning relies on the support of friends, a therapist, and a sober companion to help her on the road to recovery. She told the media outlet, “”I am truly grateful for what some may call hitting rock bottom … Some days it sucks and some days it sucks worse. I am not ashamed of this obstacle because I have accepted that it is okay to not be okay.”
