The Eagles set another record with ‘Hotel California’

A funny thing happened on the way to the Forum. Or maybe we should say that a funny thing happened on the way to the Eagles playing a residency at the Forum. But come to think of it, for clarity’s sake, we should say that a funny thing happened on the way to the Eagles playing a residency at The Forum Presented by Chase. Wow, that’s an awkward name for a venue and it sure makes this lede clunky.

Anyway, the famous venue, located in Inglewood, Calif. (just outside of L.A.) is now home to the largest vinyl record ever made. Built to commemorate a residency by The Eagles, this replica of their 1976 album, “Hotel California” sits atop the Forum and is 407 times the size of the type of album that the band sold 32 million copies of. To give you some perspective,a normal record is 12 inches in diameter, but this is a 4,884-inch record.
