Adam Sandler made a movie last year, so he’s up for a Razzie

The Golden Rasberry Awards — or the Razzies — continues its proud tradition of upstaging the Oscars by showing up a day early. While the Academy won’t be revealing its nominations for the best in 2014 cinema until tomorrow morning, the dubious Razzie nominations are out today. It should come as no surprise that frequent nominee Adam Sandler made the list, since he made a film in 2014 and all. Sandler is up for Worst Actor for “Blended,” though he did manage to skate by with only the one nomination. Less lucky? Kirk Cameron, who continues to learn the hard way that making a fuss about the reception of your terrible film will only make things worse. Cameron is also up for Worst Actor, while “Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas” is up for Worst Film and Worst Screenplay. Surprisingly, our pick for worst film of the year didn’t earn a single nomination.

The Razzies, which are handed out in Hollywood to anyone brave enough to show up the night before the Oscars, have made a notable change this year — and an out-of-character nod toward positivity. For the first time, they’ve nominated actors for the Redeemer Award, recognizing previous nominees who have since made good, like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Aniston. Still, it’s unlikely either of them will show their faces at the ceremony. Here are the nominees:
