Courtney Stodden, child bride and perennial tabloid star, recently underwent breast augmentation surgery. Why would the already buxom Courtney go under the knife? Apparently she wasn’t quite as buxom as we thought.
“I was wearing Victoria’s Secret bras; I was giving people the illusion that I was actually two cup sizes bigger than I actually was,” Stodden, 18, told E! News. She said that she was a natural C cup, but her push-up bras made her appear to be a double D. After the surgery, she’s now a double D all on her own. Well, the padding’s on the inside, at least.
Stodden says her husband Doug Hutchison wasn’t initially into the idea, but he came around once he realized how important it was to her. “I love the way my shape looks — it looks more Jessica Rabbit-y — and it just makes me feel more sexy, more like a woman,” she said.
Oof. I’d suggest that it might be better to wait and decide what makes you “more like a woman” until you’ve been one for more than a few months, but obviously it’s too late for that. Besides, what do I know? My bras are from the Gap.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeonsreleased its latest cosmetic and reconstructive surgery statisticsin April, and while many of the results are predictable, the fact that First Lady Michelle Obama was cited was unexpected.
One of the interesting trends is that doctors noticed a significant increase in upper-arm lifts, also known as brachioplasties. The procedures involve an incision from the armpit to the elbow to remove extra fat and skin. Brachioplasties has increased 4,378 percent since 2000.
