Tupelo When you go to Tupelo, you can say, “Kiss mah grits” and mean it.

This is not about health. Evidenced by One Direction popping up in your Most Played queue, you’re making your own decisions. Sometimes, those decisions are battered and cooked bubbling. Spuds are a dime a dozen, so vary up what’s sizzling with these curious victims of the deep-fryer.

Tupelo
1193 Cambridge St., Cambridge
The pork belly corn dog ( just had to try it after seeing on the menu) was a total sinful treat! All the entrees looked yummy, but we chose the fried catfish with cheesy grits and the fried chicken with jalapeño Mac n cheese….. Both totally delicious. Salvy D.

Smokestack Urban Bar
139 Green St., Worcester
The fried pickles are TO DIE FOR, my absolute fav, paired with a delicious margarita on the rocks. (Frozen are a lot weaker.) Still hungry? They have a sundae made of fried Oreos. This place is awesome for dinner or just for drinks and apps.

Garbanzos Fritos: Crispy Paprika Chickpeas — these were fun to snack on and a great way to start the meal. They almost had a bacon flavor to them, which I loved.

Get to The Haven. Now. Oh, and wear a kilt on kilt night and you get a free deep fried Mars Bar with maple whipped cream. Camden H.
