Angelina Jolie traveled to the Syria-Jordan border to meet with Syrian refugees Tuesday. As a Special Envoy for UNHCR, the UN's council on refugees, her trip to Jordan honored World Refugee Day, which is Thursday.

The purpose of Angelina's visit is“to show support for Syria’s refugees, to call on the world to address their plight, and to better understand needs in Jordan and other countries in the region most directly affected by this devastating conflict,” she said, according to Just Jared.

“The worst humanitarian crisis of the 21st century is unfolding in the Middle Easttoday,”Angelinacontinued. “By the end of this year half of Syria’s population – 10 million people – are expected to be displaced and in desperate need.”

At least they got to hang out with Angelina Jolie. That's gotta take the sting out of the whole "losing your home to brutal war" thing. Oh, it doesn't at all? OK.
