Chief Keef was arrested Tuesday night for speeding on Edens Expressway outside Chicago, according to the Chicago Tribune. And he didn't do it halfway: He was going 110 mph, precisely twice the 55-mile-an-hour speed limit.
Police arrested Keef (real name Keith Cozart), who was driving a BMW X6 M, for the speeding violation as well as for having too many passengers. At 17, Keef actually only has a learner's permit that allows him no more than one passenger, and he had three in the car. Well, he'll probably learn something from this.
You may be surprised to learn that such an upstanding young man has a history of brushes with the law. On May 20, he was arrested for disorderly conduct in Atlanta after police caught him smoking marijuana in his hotel.
Keef also got into a Twitter feud with singer Katy Perry last week. After she bashed his new single, he tweeted back and threatened to "smack the s— out of her."
Weirdly, Katy is the one who apologized — she tweeted, "Mr. Keef! I'm sorry if I offended you. I heard a lot of people guesting on the song & didn't even know it was you in particular."
Apologizing to a guy who threatened to smack you seems unnecessary, but it's kind of adorable that she called him "Mr. Keef," right?
