The Word: Melissa Leo won an Emmy last night

They call them the "creative arts Emmys," and they're just as magical as their prime time counterparts.

Michael Douglas starred as Liberace in Steven Soderberg's "Behind The Candelabra," which took home eight production Emmys. Michael Douglas starred as Liberace in Steven Soderberg's "Behind The Candelabra," which took home eight production Emmys.

Hey, did you know the Emmys were last night?

Some of the Emmys, that is. The JV Emmys. The Emmys nobody live tweets.

They call them the "creative arts Emmys," and they're just as magical as their primetime counterparts, I assume, but cannot verify since they barely get any coverage. They honor TV's off-camera talent, as well as some of the on-camera talent they don't have time for in the main broadcast.

Some of the big winners were Oscar winner Melissa Leo, who won Best Guest Actress in a Comedy for a guest spot on "Louie," and Steven Soderbergh's Liberace biopic "Behind the Candelabra," which took home eight awards.

Bob Newhart also received a standing ovation when he took home his very first Emmy for a guest starring role on "The Big Bang Theory." No word on whether Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn received a standing O when they won the Emmy for Best Reality Show Hosts, but they should have, right?

You can check out the full list of winnershere, and I encourage you to do so. Somebody should, other than their moms.
