The Word: Prince William rehearsed putting George in his carseat
"Very smooth, very 007," you no doubt thought as his father Prince William exited the building, snapped Prince George's car seat into place on the first try, and drove off.
You were probably very impressed with Prince George's departure from the hospital. "Very smooth, very 007," you no doubt thought as his father Prince William exited the building, snapped George's car seat into placeon the first try, and drove off.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, that apparently spontaneous moment of triumphant dad skills was carefully rehearsed.
"Believe, me it wasn't my first time," William told CNN of the car seat moment. "and I know there's been some speculation about that. I had to practice, I really did -- I was terrified it was going to fall off or the door wasn't going to close properly."
Yeah, that would have sucked. It would have been a bummer if the last page of those supermarket magazines about baby George was a picture of his car seat bouncing down the road.
George's uncle Prince Harry recently attended a viewing party for the exhibit “Sentable: Stories of Hope”at the Getty Images Gallery , where he spoke about his baby nephew for the first time. The prince, who’s been bumped from third to fourth in line for the throne by his nephew’s birth, says his avuncular duties are to “make sure he has a good upbringing, to keep him out of harm’s way and make sure he has fun. The rest of it I leave to the parents.”
