The Word: Stephenie Meyer is sick of 'Twilight'
The books are long done. The stars have broken up. At this point, everyone's pretty sick of "Twilight" - including, surprisingly enough, the series' creator, Stephenie Meyer.
The movies are all out. The books are long done. The stars have broken up. At this point, everyone's pretty sick of "Twilight" - including, surprisingly enough, the series' creator, Stephenie Meyer.
Meyer is moving on into a career as a movie producer - "Austenland," her first film that's not based on one of her novels, is due out soon. She says she has no intention of revisiting the Twi-verse. "I get further away every day. I am so over it," she tells Variety. "For me, it’s not a happy place to be."
Hmm, I wonder what made it "not a happy place" for Meyer. Did she just get burnt out on Bella, Edward and Jacob? Or did she get sick of her life's work being an easy target for lazy jokes?
Kristen Stewart also wants to read books other than “Twilight,” it seems.
The “Twilight” star has enrolled in a correspondence course at UCLA, where she plans to study English literature.
“Yes, Kristen’s a Tinseltown actress worth millions but she is already considering a life after film. She never got to complete college and she wants to get a proper education,” a source tells theDaily Mirror.
