Ah, the summer romance. So intense, so fleeting. With Labor Day fast approaching, it should come as little surprise that the incredibly surprising romance between Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez has quickly and quietly come to a "very mutual" end after two months, according to Us Weekly. "Michelle is going to do her own thing. Zac knew about her when he got with her. He's very into her thought, and perhaps more than she's into him," a source says. Now this celebrity gossip curio can fade into memory like so many bizarre fever dreams, until one day you'll mention it at an intimate Tupperware party and everyone will think you made it up. Because Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez dating? That hardly makes any sense at all. Surely, you must be joking.

Bieber rents a pad just for parties

OK, yes, Justin Bieber did in fact rent a sprawling, 16,000 square foot Hollywood Hills mansion with its own nightclub built into it — and goes for $29,000 a month — but he's not actually going to live there. Instead, Bieber "is only using the Hollywood Hills rental to throw parties," according to Radar Online. "After Justin's house was raided earlier this year, he vowed never to be caught in a similar situation and doesn't want random people in his home. So Justin decided to rent a house just so he could throw parties. He might end up sleeping there from time to time, but still has the Beverly Hills condo and will use that as his base." Well, as long as he has options.

In-fighting on "the View" right on schedule

Rosie O'Donnell hasn't even start back on "the View" yet and already tensions are flaring. The former co-host is reportedly clashing with Whoopi Goldberg over seating assignments, as Goldberg has been in the prime moderator seat since taking over for O'Donnell, but now "Rosie wants it back from Whoopi," according to the National Enquirer. "It doesn't matter that Whoopi has sat there for the last several years. Rosie doesn't want to be sitting anywhere but back in her old spot. In Rosie's mind, this is once again her show. Whoopi won't be giving it up, and Rosie even suggested they trade seats every other week. It's all a power trip for Rosie, which is resulting in tension on the staff." Fun times!

Snipes gets served at "Expendables 3" premiere

Well, this is certainly awkward. While on his way to the premiere after-party for "Expendables 3" — his first major film since serving time for tax evasion — Wesley Snipes was served with a notice to appear for a debtor's examination, according to TMZ. A process server caught Snipes off-guard as he headed in to the party, and the whole exchange was caught by paparazzi. Snipes is being sued by PR firm Sitrick & Company for unpaid fees from work the group did while he was in trouble with the IRS. Snipes was unavailable for comment.
