New Orleans police have issued a warrant for Russell Brand in connection to an earlier incident during which Brand reportedly hurled a paparazzo’s iPhone into an office window, according to TMZ. The warrant is for simple criminal damage to property, a misdemeanor. The Web site previously reported that immediately following the incident Monday, reps for Brand contacted the law office involved and said Brand would pay for the damage to the window. And while Brand has made no official comment on the incident, he did make light of it on Twitter, posting, “Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iphone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory.”
Lindsay Lohan insists the latest claims that she struck a man with her Porsche and then fled the scene are completely false, according to Radar Online. “Lindsay is adamant that she absolutely didn’t hit anyone while she was driving. Lindsay is extremely upset that there would be speculation she would ditch the scene of a potential crime scene,” a source says. “She is days away from being taken off formal probation. Would it make sense for Lindsay to flee the scene with tons of paparazzi? No, she wouldn’t have done that if there was a remote possibility she had hit someone.”
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have reportedly been telling friends that they’re ready to start a family, according to Life & Style Weekly. And if that isn’t enough to stoke pregnancy rumors, Aniston was reportedly eschewing booze during some Academy Awards festivities. “I saw Jen Oscar week, and she couldn’t stop smiling,” a source says. “She was actually less lean and less muscular than I had expected her to be — her body looked softer. In the dress she wore, it really did look like she had a baby bump.”
Charlize Theron has become a mother, having adopted a baby, her rep confirms to People magazine. “She is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson,” her rep says, though further details on the adoption weren’t forthcoming. A source close to the Oscar-winning actress says it’s something Theron “has been trying to adopt a baby for a long time.” Theron, who is currently single, split from boyfriend Stuart Townsend after nine years together. “Charlize’s mom [Gerda] has been helping out with the baby,” the source says. “She seems so happy and will be a great mom.”
Eva Mendes has reportedly been looking for a way to prove to Ryan Gosling that she’s serious about their relationship, and she may have found it. Mendes is taking care of Gosling’s dog, George, while the actor is filming in Thailand, according to Us Weekly. “He was going to have his friends watch George, but changed his mind at the last minute,” a source says. “That’s a huge deal to him. He wouldn’t leave that dog with just anyone.”
