Looking to escape the rain and get some culture? Tonight fromfrom 6 to 9 p.m., cultural institutions all along Museum Mile will open their doors to the public for free.
The celebration begins on the steps of the Museum of the City of New York (1220 Fifth Ave.at 103rd Street) at 5:45 p.m. Fifth Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic between 82nd and 105th streets, with live music and activities for kids through Art-in-the-Street. FindSammie & Tudie’s Imagination Playhouse at 93rd Street, or Guggenheim educators will lead a sidewalk chalk drawing activity at 83rd Street.
