Here are five artists that really stepped up and stood out in the Knockouts this season:

1. Hannah Huston (Team Pharrell)

“House of the Rising Sun” has been covered quite a few times on the Voice stage so it’s hard to make it sound fresh, but that’s exactly what Hannah did — and with such ease. The preschool teacher from Nebraska proved to be a rock star. You could not only hear the power in her voice, you could see it in her eyes and feel it in her stage presence.

2. Shalyah Fearing (Team Pharrell, stolen by Adam)

Shalyah Fearing definitely gave the most surprising performance of the night. At just 15 years old, she seems to have a pretty good grasp on how to give an emotionally charged performance without being too showy. She sang “A Broken Wing” by Martina McBride and delivered it with such power and control.

3. Alisan Porter (Team Christina)

With every performance thus far, Alisan Porter has proven she’s here to win, and her cover of “River” just got her one step closer. She connected to the song in a deep way and sang every line with such passion, making it her most emotionally moving performance yet. Though I think it’s safe to say she’s got a few more up her sleeve.

4. Owen Danoff (Team Adam)

Owen Danoff sang “She’s Always a Woman To Me” strumming his acoustic guitar and it was absolutely mesmerizing. His voice is so clear, smooth and melodic that it makes even the most convoluted song sound like a lullaby. This was Owens best performance yet, but it seems he only gets better with time, which makes it even more exciting to see what he’ll bring to the Live Shows.

5. Tamar Davis (Team Christina)

Tamar Davis has had quite a few brushes with fame in the past, but if this performance is any indication of what’s to come then she might finally be getting her big break with “The Voice.” She laid it all out on the Voice stage with her incredibly unique rendition of “Lay Me Down.” Although she made the song completely her own, it was not an easy song to sing, which the coaches recognized and praised her for.
