Metro’s Monday night TV breakdown.
‘Duck Quacks Don’t Echo’
EDUCATIONAL. They don’t? This is a show co-hosted by Michael Ian Black in which Black and friends attempt to prove the title statement, among other weird factoids. Tonight, they try to glue a man to the ceiling (not sure what they’re trying to prove/refute there) and test whether the color red actually pisses off a bull.
10 p.m., NGC
‘How I Met Your Mother’
COMEDY. To be honest, we’re a little surprised this show has continued to chug along, long after having actually met The Mother. Probably because: Neil Patrick Harris. Tonight, to commemorate the show’s 200th episode (right?), The Mother takes a look back at what the hell she’s been up to the last eight years.
8 p.m., CBS
‘VH1 Super Bowl Blitz’
MUSIC. This has nothing at all to do with football. VH1 presents a week of live music preceding the big game, kicking off tonight with a performance by rapper J. Cole in Queens.
11 p.m., VH1
