Ironside - Season 1

Metro’s Wednesday night TV breakdown.

‘Ironside’
CRIME/DRAMA. This remake of the 1967 television show of the same name stars Blair Underwood as a wheelchair-bound cop who, despite his handicap, is tough as nails. We’re mostly wondering if Underwood will be as suave and sexy on wheels. We’re thinking, yes.
Series Premiere, 10 p.m., NBC

‘Top Chef’
REALITY. Say what you want about Bravo because, despite its glut of reality show shows starring surgically altered harpies with too much money and not enough brains, it actually boasts some pretty great reality shows as well. One of them returns tonight and, this time around, it all goes down in N’awlins. Should be suitably spicy.
Season Premiere, 10 p.m., BRAVO

‘Super Fun Night’
COMEDY. Will this new situational comedy starring Rebel Wilson (who killed it in “Bridesmaids” and sort of just maimed it at the MTV Movie Awards) be any good? We have no clue, but we’ll tune in for at least the premiere episode because we believe that Wilson has some serious comedy chops that have yet to be fully realized. In “Super Fun Night,” she plays an insecure single lady partying and taking on the world with her two best gal pals. “Sex and the City” for the set of girls who actually like to eat? Maybe.
Series Premiere, 9:30 p.m., ABC
