Is everyone going to die on ‘Game Of Thrones’?

Young Ned Stark

Everyone loves a good Game Of Thrones theory, especially now that season 7 has come to an end and we have at least a year, probably more, until the eighth and final batch of episodes are out.

The latest Game of Thrones theory to make the rounds might be the craziest yet, though, as it has been suggested that everyone, and I mean everyone, that we know and love from Game Of Thrones is going to die in season 8. Oh, but wait, it gets crazy. They’ll then be resurrected right at the end, and presumably, live happily ever after. Or immediately start fighting with each other again.

This prediction comes from the mind of a Redditor, who believes that rather than simply taking over Westeros, the Night King’s main ambition is to reach God’s Eye, a huge lake that surrounds the mystical and sacred island known as the Isles Of Faces. This is where the original peace pact was made between the first men of Westeros and the Children Of The Forest, which brought an end to centuries of fighting.

It has been speculated that God’s Eye possesses enough magical qualities to bring life back to the army of the undead. This is where the theory that Bran is the Night King reemerges. After the above idea was floated, another Redditor called baatezu chimed in and suggested that Bran’s plan was to bring peace to Westeros by “becoming the Night King, raising an arm of the undead, and marching them to the Gods Eye, where he will destroy the ancient [Children Of The Forest] magic.” Once there, his magic “turns everyone from wights back into fully healthy Humans, exactly as they were [at] the moment of their death.”

For this to work, Jon Snow, Danerys, Jaime and Cersei would all need to die in the penultimate episode of Game Of Thrones, which would leave fans with absolutely no idea about what would happen in the finale. In that episode, the Night King would make it God’s Eye, where he would literally work his magic and resurrect everyone from the entire series.

At that point, though, I’m pretty sure that the resurrected Ned Stark, Robert Baratheon, Joffrey Lannister and Ramsay Bolton would instantly just start quarrelling again. And then we’d just be back to square one.
